High Smithstone B&B is a recently renovated traditional farmhouse. It has one family room, one double room and one twin room. All rooms are ensuite with colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities.

There is a large lounge with wide screen colour TV and DVD player. Travel cot and high chair are available on request. On arrival complimentary afternoon tea/supper is available.

A Scottish farmhouse breakfast is served between 0600 and 1000 hours. All food is local produce. All baking jams and marmalades are home made.

High Smithstone is a working farm with 360 acres and we have some highland cattle, 200 beef cattle, 400-500 sheep and our friendly sheepdog Ben. Which all make for a lovely setting for your stay.

Enjoy panoramic views of the Firth of Clyde. Experience genuine Scottish hospitality Ayrshire is a golfers paradise with 40 local courses and championship courses at Royal Troon and Turnberry. We can help organise weekend or 3-4 day golfing trips by booking your tee off times and arranging transfers to and from the airport.

Take the Seacat from Troon to Ireland or try a spot of island hopping from Ardrossan to Arran and beyond.

Visit Culzean Castle or the Burns National Heritage Park in Alloway. Extensive leisure facilities are available at Magnum Centre Irvine. Muirshiel Country Park at Lochwinnoch and the RSPB Centre is great for bird lovers. Kelburn Country Centre at Largs is a haven for children with pony rides, adventure playground, secret grotto and falconry displays. Riding and hacking are available locally.
