| I would like to compliment this Bed & Breakfast
High Smithstone Farm in Kilwinning.
Both myself and my husband travel to the Saltcoats area
every third weekend to visit my parents in a nursing home
Arran View. We have used roughly three/four B&Bs since
June this year.
At short notice last weekend we had to travel to Scotland
from the Manchester area, the regular farms were booked
up, so at very short notice we contacted the above and fortunately
they had a spare room.
The service, standard of accommodation, friendly attitude
of the owners, food and general location were absolutely
excellent and perfect for our requirements. We actually
viewed the cottage on the farm with the thoughts of self
catering at some point in the future when we will have a
longer break maybe in the summer months, and yet again the
standards of the cottage were excellent.
Anne’s cooking of home made produce, pancakes, jams,
marmalades and breakfasts were next to none, they were wonderful.
The history attached to the farm was an extra bonus, and
Ben the dog could have ended up in the car for the journey
home.
I would like to highly recommend this accommodation.
Yours sincerely
